Liquid crystal display device having particular conductive layer

A display device comprising:na first substrate including a side edge;a plurality of first conductive lines extending over the first substrate in a first direction;a plurality of second conductive lines extending over the first substrate in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction;a plurality of first thin film transistors electrically connected to the first conductive lines and the second conductive lines;a plurality of pixel electrodes electrically connected to the first thin film transistors;an interlayer insulating film disposed between the first conductive lines and the second conductive lines;a second substrate opposed to the first substrate;a sealing member disposed between the first and second substrates, the sealing member including a portion adjacent to the side edge;a driver circuit comprising at least one second thin film transistor over the first substrate, the driver circuit disposed between the side edge and a pixel portion, wherein at least a portion of the driver circuit is located within a region surrounded by the sealing member; anda conductive layer comprising a same material as the plurality of second conductive lines and disposed between the portion of the sealing member and the first substrate; andwherein the conductive layer continuously extends along the side edge of the first substrate for more than a pitch of adjacent ones of the second conductive lines, and is electrically isolated from both of the plurality of first conductive lines and the plurality of second conductive lines.

A display device comprising:na first substrate including a side edge;a plurality of scanning lines extending over the first substrate in a first direction;a plurality of signal lines extending over the first substrate in a second direction, wherein the second direction is parallel with the side edge;a plurality of first thin film transistors electrically connected to said scanning lines and said signal lines;a plurality of pixel electrodes electrically connected to the first thin film transistors;an interlayer insulating film disposed between the scanning lines and the signal lines;a second substrate opposed to the first substrate;a sealing member disposed between the first and second substrates, the sealing member including a portion adjacent to the side edge;a driver circuit comprising at least one second thin film transistor over the first substrate, the driver circuit disposed between the side edge and a pixel portion, wherein at least a portion of the driver circuit is located within a region surrounded by the sealing member; wherein the driver circuit is electrically connected to the plurality of scanning lines,a conductive layer disposed between the portion of the sealing member and the first substrate, the conductive layer comprising a same material as the plurality of scanning lines; andwherein the conductive layer continuously extends along the side edge of the first substrate for more than a pitch of adjacent ones of the scanning lines, and is electrically isolated from both of the plurality of scanning lines and the said plurality of signal lines.

A display device comprising:na first substrate including a first side edge and a second side edge;a plurality of scanning lines extending over the first substrate in a first direction, wherein the first direction is parallel with the second side edge;a plurality of signal lines extending over the first substrate in a second direction, wherein the second direction is parallel with the first side edge;a plurality of first thin film transistors electrically connected to said scanning lines and said signal lines;a plurality of pixel electrodes electrically connected to the first thin film transistors;an interlayer insulating film disposed between the scanning lines and the signal lines;a second substrate opposed to the first substrate;a sealing member disposed between the first and second substrates, the sealing member including a portion adjacent to the second side edge;a driver circuit comprising at least one second thin film transistor over the first substrate, the driver circuit disposed between the second side edge and a pixel portion, wherein at least a portion of the driver circuit is located within a region surrounded by the sealing member; wherein the driver circuit is electrically connected to the plurality of signal lines,a conductive layer disposed between the portion of the sealing member and the first substrate, the conductive layer comprising a same material as the plurality of scanning lines; andwherein the conductive layer continuously extends along the second side edge of the first substrate for more than a pitch of adjacent ones of the signal lines, and is electrically isolated from both of the plurality of scanning lines and the said plurality of signal lines.

A display device comprising:na first substrate including a side edge;a plurality of first conductive lines extending over the first substrate in a first direction;a plurality of second conductive lines extending over the first substrate in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction;a plurality of first thin film transistors electrically connected to the first conductive lines and the second conductive lines;a plurality of pixel electrodes electrically connected to the first thin film transistors;an interlayer insulating film disposed between the first conductive lines and the second conductive lines;a second substrate opposed to the first substrate;a sealing member disposed between the first and second substrates, the sealing member including a portion adjacent to the side edge;a driver circuit comprising at least one second thin film transistor over the first substrate, the driver circuit disposed between the side edge and a pixel portion, wherein at least a portion of the driver circuit is located within a region surrounded by the sealing member; anda conductive layer comprising a same material as the plurality of second conductive lines and disposed between the sealing member and the first substrate; andwherein the conductive layer continuously extends along the side edge of the first substrate for more than a pitch of adjacent ones of the second conductive lines, and is electrically isolated from both of the plurality of first conductive lines and the plurality of second conductive lines.
