An information processing system comprising a first information processing apparatus, a second information processing apparatus, and a third information processing apparatus, the information processing system comprising:nthe first information processing apparatus including:na storage device storing stereoscopic data in a first format which can be processed by the first information processing apparatus and the second information processing apparatus; anda code image generator configured to transform at least a part of the stereoscopic data in the first format into at least one displayable code image by using a predetermined encoding mode, and generating code image data in a second format which can be processed by a general-purpose device including the third information processing apparatus,the second information processing apparatus including an information processor that performs stereoscopic information processing based on the stereoscopic data in the first format without requiring decoding of the code image, andthe third information processing apparatus including a first display device that displays the at least one displayable code image, based on the code image data in the second format.

An information processing method used by an information processing system comprising a first information processing apparatus, a second information processing apparatus, and a third information processing apparatus,nthe information processing method of the first information processing apparatus including:nstoring stereoscopic data in a first format which can be processed by the first information processing apparatus and the second information processing apparatus; andtransforming the stereoscopic data in the first format into at least one displayable code image by using a predetermined encoding mode, and generating code image data in a second format which can be processed by a general-purpose device including the third information processing apparatus,the second information processing apparatus performing stereoscopic information processing based on the stereoscopic data in the first format without displaying the code image, andthe third information processing apparatus displaying the at least one displayable code image by a first display device, based on the code image data in the second format.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored therein an information processing program executed by a computer processor of a first information processing apparatus, a second information processing apparatus, and a third information processing apparatus, respectively, which are included in an information processing system,nthe information processing program causing the computer processor of the first information processing apparatus to:nstore stereoscopic data in a first format which can be processed by the first information processing apparatus and the second information processing apparatus; andtransform the stereoscopic data in the first format into at least one displayable code image by using a predetermined encoding mode, and generating code image data in a second format which can be processed by a general-purpose device including the third information processing apparatus,the information processing program causing the computer of the second information processing apparatus to function as an information processor performing stereoscopic information processing based on the data in the first format without displaying the code image, andthe information processing program causing the computer of the third information processing apparatus to display the at least one displayable code image by a first display device, based on the code image data in the second format.
