Variable switched DC-to-DC voltage converter

An apparatus comprising:na switch matrix including switches configurable into a plurality of states corresponding to a plurality of voltage levels of an output voltage, the switches coupled to a supply voltage, the switch matrix configured to adjust a state of at least one of switches based at least in part on one or more switch control signals; andcontrol logic including a voltage level generator configured to receive the supply voltage and to generate a first voltage from the supply voltage, the first voltage having a lower voltage level than the supply voltage, the control logic configured to compare the first voltage with a reference voltage that is independent of the supply voltage and to generate the one or more switch control signals based at least in part on the comparison.

An apparatus comprising:na switch matrix including switches configurable into a plurality of states corresponding to a plurality of voltage levels of an output voltage, the switches coupled to a supply voltage, the switch matrix configured to adjust a state of the plurality of states based at least in part on a switch control signal; andcontrol logic configured to: generate, from the supply voltage, a voltage having a lower voltage level than the supply voltage; receive a low noise voltage having noise features causing a distortion with a magnitude of no more than about 0.1% of a magnitude of the low noise signal voltage; compare the voltage generated from the supply voltage with the low noise voltage; and generate the switch control signal based at least in part on the comparison.

A method comprising:ngenerating a first voltage from a supply voltage using a voltage level generator, the first voltage having a voltage level that is lower than the supply voltage;comparing the first voltage with a reference voltage independent of the supply voltage;generating a switch control signal based at least in part on the comparing; andadjusting a state of at least one switch in a switch matrix based on the switch control signal to adjust a voltage level of an output of the switch matrix, the switch being coupled to the supply voltage.

An apparatus comprising:na switch matrix including switches configurable into a plurality of states corresponding to a plurality of voltage levels of an output voltage, the switch matrix configured to adjust a state of at least one of switches based at least in part on a switch control signal; andcontrol logic including: a first comparator configured to compare a first voltage generated from a supply voltage with a reference voltage, the reference voltage being independent of the supply voltage; a second comparator configured to compare the reference voltage with a second voltage generated from the supply voltage, the second voltage having a different voltage level than the first voltage; and switching logic configured to generate the switch control signal based at least partly on an output of the first comparator and an output of the second comparator.
